  11. I did not want to reply too swiftly, as I am now a biased source I wanted some
  12. more objective responses to preceed mine.

  14. Sierra Software Innovations purchased Inside Out because we wanted to do some
  15. really neat things with it.
  16.  
  17. A lot of these things relate to objects and MacApp.
  18.  
  19. Some of the issues are very complex and may not get solved for several years
  20. but our intent is to work on them.
  21.  
  22. One of the first things we can do is to make integrating MacApp and Inside Out
  23. easier and more useful.
  24.  
  25. We have planned:
  26.  
  27. 1) a MacApp based report generator
  28. 2) a MacApp based ad-hoc query engine
  29. 3) a MacApp based database browser/editor
  30.  
  31. These will be built on MacApp building-blocks so that developers can
  32. incorporate these features into their applications.
  33.  
  34. We are also moving toward CL/1 support.
  35.  
  36. We have been looking into getting an Inside Out folder in one of the AppleLink
  37. Discussion folders.  This will probably happen in the next few months.
  38.  
  39. This will be a natural place to discuss the integration of MacApp and Inside
  40. Out.
